Signature double-breasted coat
$890The camel coat worth the outlay. That 8 percent cashmere is what stops it reading stiff across the shoulders.
92% wool / 8% cashmereLining 100% viscoseat Net-a-PorterSix weeks of looking, three pieces we would actually buy. Chosen for cut first, then held to the same composition standard as everything else here.
Every piece here has been through the same check. Shell composition and lining composition, pulled apart, parsed into percentages, and shown on the card before you click anything. No scrolling to the bottom of a product page to find out what you are actually buying.
No polyamide at the cuffs, no elastane for shape, no viscose quietly making up the difference. Harder to find than it should be, which is why it has its own edit.
A wool crepe dress with a polyester lining breathes like polyester. Most sites fold the lining into one composition line, or leave it off entirely. We show it separately on every card, and you can filter on it.
Natural fiber is not supposed to require a budget. These three are the proof, and each one is a full single fiber or close to it.
Composition tells you how a garment will feel, wear and age. It does not tell you how the animal was treated, who sewed it, or what the dye house released. Those are real questions and we do not pretend a percentage answers them.
Price in cashmere tracks fiber length and micron count, and neither appears on a label. These three sit at different points on that curve, which is the useful thing about seeing them together.
Tailoring is where the lining matters most, because it is the layer sitting against you all day. All three of these line in something that breathes.
